Will focus on the development of smart technologies environmental monitoring (satellite analysis and drones), massive data collection and analysis (using GIS), and improved contaminant monitoring techniques (passive samplers) for the identification of vulnerable landscape units)
WETANPACK OBJECTIVES
Collection and analysis of massive data for spatio-temporal monitoring of the soil, water and sediment QUALITY as well as on the land use of the selected watersheds to mapping vulnerable areas (PI responsible V. Andreu);
Fingerprint the historical profile of contamination history over last 100 years (PI responsible Y. Picó);
Surveillance of water quality in vulnerable areas with satellite images and drones equipped with camera and infrared thermography to identify contaminant discharges (PI responsible V. Andreu);
Investigation of the fluctuation in the presence of contaminants in the wetlands (PI responsible Y. Picó).
